But sometimes your light attracts moths and your warmth attracts parasites. Protect your space and energy.

Out of curiosity, I let Aster look at the cat skull I have on my shelf. He loved it, and was biting it and rubbing on it, and curled his claws around it and swatted at me when I tried to remove it.
I know better than to assume he understood what the skull was but it’s still an interesting reaction on his part.
Any patch of sunlight in a wood will show you something about the sun which you could never get from reading books on astronomy. These pure and spontaneous pleasures are ‘patches of Godlight’ in the woods of our experience.
