I’ve decided to redo my Okina Illusions painting.

The reason is mostly personal. Okina Illusions was my first full tea painting featuring Okina and her companions, and is still one of my favorites today. I think going through a re-creation would be a great way to analyze improvement and also see how my style has shifted since then. Here is a comparison of the two sketches.
