Her beautiful snow-white character has been distorted by Christianity and turned into an ugly, grotesque old woman with big teeth and horns, the evil Perchta.

Whatever name she might be given – Perchta, Berhta, Frau Holle, Holda, Frija, Frigga, Makosh, in our ancestral memory she will forever remain the caring mother of all and everything, the MOTHER OF ALL NIGHTS.
