When I saw this the title I thought of was “God’s Hands Are Tied” – which isn’t necessarily true…
Green roofs like this one is what we were learning about in college today. Beautiful, sustainable, wholesome designs like these are what inspire me to become an architect, not the soulless concrete boxes we’re all so used to now. This is the kind of future I want to design. This is the kind of future I want to live in.
um, this really isn’t ‘designed’ to be a garden roof…it’s falling down and things rooted on the roof…that’s a modern house, and also, wow – those trees are going to be huge! pine trees + that roof as turf = collapsing roof
but it looks really pretty!!!
you’ve always had this need to run away. despite how good things might be going. or how stable life may seem. your tongue has grown numb to the sting of empty promises. you probably have loved too many people. too easily. almost like you were the promising shore to a worn out ship. only to become lost in the unpredictable tides. you’re the friend at the party who never says goodbye. you tip the bartender and leave before a thank you. in reality your heart is a lonely apartment in brooklyn soaked in the summer heat with every window open. or the hopeful promise of beautiful views on top of a mountain. some days the wind blows through all those windows and some days all that fog up there clears. but instead you drink too much and sleep too little. the inspiration comes in transient waves. but something about the ocean always drew you in.
So you thought she was the Messiah, the perfect girl who could save you and bring you love and happiness and sparkly cupcakes forever? well, that’s your problem, not hers. people should try to love the art but not to idolize artists, because they are still stupid human beings.
