Waiting for the bus, reading Charles De Lint’s Trader. I have this bad habit of re-reading Charles De Lint books and coming across details I’ve unintentionally cribbed for my own stories, so I was somewhat annoyed when I came across this book recently. I’ve never read it, and I’d swear I’ve never even heard of it…but I do have a story about a character who goes by the name Trader.

Los Cadejos from “Forest of the Heart” by Charles De lint. I always strove to be like the characters in his book. And now that I feel like I am, I can’t help but notice everything fell into place right after meeting him. I wonder if he carries magic inside him like the characters in his book.
