Mantra

Looking from a purely biological level, beliefs are just neural pathways that have been very deeply etched (which makes the electrical impulse travel faster and easier) the cool thing is that the brain is elastic to some degree, and with disuse old pathways get more shallow. So when we do a mantra we are forming and deepening a new pathway (while at the same time hopefully using the old one less) Now mantra have an edge over regular thoughts- because when you intone the vibration effects the brain in such a way that it is easier to form and deepen channels
